Witty's Lagoon Regional ParkWitty's Lagoon provides fun for the whole family! There are multiple entrance points to this park, along Metchosin Road. Trails wind down to the sand and pebble beach, which has a view of the Strait of Juan de Fuca and Washington State's Olympic Mountains. The Galloping Goose is quickly becoming a popular destination for many avid cyclists, hikers, and horseback riders. Weaving its way through the westshore communities, the trail makes a pass through Metchosin on its way to the now-abandoned goldrush town of Leechtown, far up the Sooke River. The Galloping Goose Trail is an easy going, gravel trail, wide enough for two people to bike side by side. |
